THE PROJECT
Client: Hiuspuoti Alkemisti (Hair Boutique Alchemist)
Mission: Create a unique hair salon branding, website and marketing.

Hiuspuoti Alkemisti is a small artistic hair salon in Helsinki. Idea behind the brand name comes from mixing hair dyes that is the speciality of this hair salon and the vintage decor that filled the small boutique.
Eventually I came up with the final name for the brand and because of that I got pretty much free hands on creating everything.
I wanted to add as much vintage look as possible without sacrificing the clean look. Eventually after coming up tens of different styles for the logo I finally locked my eyes on beautiful art nouveau style custom fonts and to spice it up I added some floral ornamentals all over the website. Similar golden elements were also used in the boutique decor including everything from golden salon chair to vintage mirrors and painting.
THE WEBSITE
The website included 5 pages.
The home page with hero section, short about section, social media feed from Instagram, Google ratings and a photo of the small boutique.
About page with more of the story behind Alkemisti.
Service menu that I built with Advanced Custom Fields, so the boutique owner could update it easily even with her phone.
Booking page that was just embedded 3rd party booking service that is quite commonly used here in Finland.
And a contact page that used Fluent Forms which sent the emails automatically to the company email.
Whole website was build on WordPress using Oxygen Builder. Everything on the site was custom build and mobile optimized.

Unfortunately Hiuspuoti Alkemisti closed their doors at the end of pandemic lockdowns, so I have no live website to show you, but here are some screencaptures.
MARKETING
Because the budget didn't allow hiring model for photography. I had to use stock photos to launch the marketing. Because Alkemisti is focused on bright hair dyes, I used pretty much all alt themed photo I could find while creating ads for the boutique.

I did tens of ads for Alkemisti that run in Meta and GDN. I also made a few print ads for local newspaper.
Website hero section banners used the same visuals as the current social media ads.
